Tupelo (/tuplo/) is a city and the county seat of Lee County, Mississippi, United States. Tupelo is steeped in Mississippi music history and is believed to be the birthplace of Elvis Presley and Diplo, and the birthplace of the band Rae Sremmurd. The city is home to many arts and cultural institutions, including the birthplace of Elvis Presley and the 10,000-seat Cadence Bank Arena, the largest indoor multi-purpose arena in Mississippi. Tupelo is the only city in the Southern United States to be named an All-America City five times, most recently in 2015.
